8 years ago at 9:18 amI need an honest, unbiased opinion here guys. I’m in my twenties, I have an engineering degree, amd work with one of the top Industrial companies in the world. But there is a void in my life and I’m thinking of enlisting. anyone else done this or have any thoughts on this?
8 years ago at 9:23 amAs someone who had a brother enlist, it really depends on the person. My brother went in ’09, came back, and while he was proud of his service he also felt behind on his life (for one reason or another). Then again, I didn’t enlist and I didn’t experience the thrill of serving my country.
TLDR; think on it, do some research. Make sure you know the situation and yourself.
8 years ago at 9:33 amIf you want a lot more input ask again tomorrow on LGW.
8 years ago at 9:46 amGo serve if you think that’s your purpose. You’ll still have your engineering degree after your years of service and the military is always looking for skilled engineers and technicians if you want to keep doing something engineering related
8 years ago at 9:50 amIt’ll open new doors that are inaccessible for you now. Or, once you return, you can continue what you’re doing right now. Just don’t forget to consider the potential futures our military may take, along with your current career path. Regardless, contact your local recruiter and listen to your real options.

8 years ago at 10:10 amEver considered the reserves? You work only 1 weekend out of the month and 2 weeks once a year.
8 years ago at 11:13 amAs someone who was enlisted in the Guard, it kind of sucks cock. I honestly have many friends active army right now, and they all are sick of the shit. If you are dead-set on joining the military, look into becoming an officer. Way better pay, more respect, and getting use out of your degree.
8 years ago at 11:56 amHave you considered OCS/OTS? Not to knock on enlisted, but you meet the qualifications for becoming an officer.
8 years ago at 1:36 pmBabe of the day: I’d hate to see her go, but I’d love to watch her pee.
