Scarlett Johansson Named Sexiest Woman Alive For The Second Time In Seven Years
Like many other women, I was never quite able to forgive Scarlett Johansson for her role in He’s Just Not That Into You. I can party with sluts ‘til the end of time, but I do not condone home-wrecking. Scar Jo was never really starring in my girl fantasies to begin with, so I’d decidedly hated her from that point forward, and as everyone knows, once you hate a girl, she lands herself squarely in the “not even that pretty” category for the rest of your days.
The guys over at Esquire, however, could not disagree with me more. For the second time in seven years, Johansson was named Esquire’s sexiest woman alive. The Don Jon star is the only person who can say she’s been a title holder two times, and joked about it in an interview:
I’m the only woman to win twice right? You know, I gotta hustle. I’m a 28-year-old woman in the movie business, right? Pretty soon the roles you’re offered all become mothers. Then they just sort of stop. I have to hedge against that with work-theater, producing; this thing with Esquire.
I’ll admit, her body is pretty amazing. I respect anyone who’s curvy in a way that actually means curvy, not just code for fat, so I’m not trying to say she’s not deserving, but…is she deserving? I can’t put my bias aside to decide. The November issue of Esquire, featuring Johansson hits newsstands on October 15.
