SEC Attempts to Steal Big 12 Legacy?
OKLAHOMA—Barry Sanders Jr. may be a lifelong Oklahoma State University fan because his father played ball there, but that doesn’t mean a face-to-face with Nick Saban won’t sway the recruit. Saban visited the Heritage Hall campus on Wednesday in an alleged attempt to convince the Big 12 legacy to attend the 2010 BCS National Championship winning University. Apparently, Sanders Jr. plans on attending junior day for Alabama, and is recovering from foot surgery.
TFM received this picture Wednesday, Jan. 5 from an exclusive submission. Photo was submitted by @singlejack007.

14 years ago at 7:35 pmYeah because I’m sure the son of the best college football running back to ever play the game is 3rd string at best.
14 years ago at 8:48 pmActually he’d be fourth string… jeremy smith would be ahead of him. alabama needs him more than okie state

14 years ago at 12:36 amCan anyone say…”Recruiting Violation”?
14 years ago at 8:36 pmPlease learn the rules of recruiting before you open that hole under your nose. Please elaborate to us why this is a violation. I’ll hang up and listen.
14 years ago at 9:01 pm“A college coach is only permitted to contact you in person off the college campus only on or after July 1st when you have completed your junior year of high school. If the coach meets with you or your parents and says anything to you or them then this is considered a contact. Anything more than a very basic hello is a contact.”
100% violation
14 years ago at 9:09 pmWell,
It’s a recruiting violation because head coaches are barred from having off-campus visits with recruits until they’ve finished their junior year in high school. Coaches are not allowed to have contact, so to speak, unless the recruit comes to the school’s campus…in this case, that craphole you call Tuscaloosa. It’s also one of the reasons the NCAA created the Saban “Bump” Rule.
14 years ago at 9:12 pmNot giving a fuck about violating recruitment rules. FaF.
14 years ago at 9:29 pmthis is what we like to call a “bump”
14 years ago at 9:32 pmand the “Saban Rule” only applies to head coaches during the spring evaluation period.
14 years ago at 9:33 pmIt’s no recruiting violation to talk to a kid during his junior year
14 years ago at 5:32 pmSaban looks FaF
14 years ago at 8:43 pmIt is a violation to have personal contact with a junior
14 years ago at 9:09 pmThis isn’t the first place to report this, just the most unique. There is a story from a website in Oklahoma that has a video interview with Sanders about it to go along with this same picture: http://www.okblitz.com/Article.aspx?id=32539
