Seth Rogen Was Just Initiated As An Official PIKE Brother

Last night, we received the following news tip:

Pi kappa alpha at UVM special initiated Seth Rogen. Check Seth’s twitter. UVM pikes raised the most money for his charity for the fourth year in a row and he agreed to join Pike when he came.

and sure enough…

After doing a little research, it appears Rogen has a great history with the brothers of Pi Kappa Alpha at the University of Vermont.

From The Vermont Cynic:

Rogen, an actor, comedian, charity founder and beloved pot icon, visited Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and Alpha Chi Omega sorority alongside his wife Lauren at Essex Cinema April 23.

This year marks the third year in a row Pi Kappa Alpha and Alpha Chi Omega have won the Hilarity for Charity competition.

They have raised $28,301 this year alone for Rogen’s Alzheimer’s foundation and over $70,000 cumulatively.
Hilarity for Charity was started by Rogen and Miller after her mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.

Rogen described the brothers as “the Lakers of charity.”

It’s incredibly refreshing to see a celebrity, especially one as famous as Seth Rogen, recognizing Greek life for its charitableness. The media loves to report on the bad stories that come out of fraternities, but typically stays far, far away from reporting positive stories, as if those stories are the “gang rape frats” they so often reference.

You’ve got to imagine a new installment in the Neighbors series where the UVM PIKE brothers attack Zac Efron’s little bitch ass Delta Psi chapter is in the works, right? Huge missed opportunity if not..
