Shots Fired Outside Lambda Chi House At UCF

Shots were fired off campus at the University of Central Florida outside the Lambda Chi house around 1 a.m. Sunday morning. Two unidentified individuals approached the house and were denied entry. One of them pulled out a gun and pointed it in the face of a Lambda Chi brother. This particular brother must have balls of steel, because he called the gunman’s bluff and eventually got the suspects off their property. The moron gunman then proceeded to fire several shots into the air, I guess for intimidation purposes, before running off.

Antonio Concha, president of Lambda Chi Alpha, said the victim did not want to press charges because he didn’t want to be more involved with the situation and rattle the neighborhood so early in the morning. “After being asked if the brother wanted to press charges, he declined due to the fact that the officer told him that a large part of their department, a helicopter and dogs would be called out,” Concha said.

A tip of the hat to that Lambda Chi and his brothers for standing their ground while staring down a loaded weapon and forcing these punks to flee.

For those unfamiliar with UCF Greek life, the majority of fraternities are located across from campus in an area properly dubbed “the Greek Ghetto.” Fraternities are surrounded by lower income homes, and as someone who lived in this lovely environment for three years, I can confirm stories like this aren’t exactly hard to come by. Thankfully, no one was pistol whipped, robbed, or injured this time around..
