If you don’t keep a 60 degree in the tool box then you’re a damn fool. Short side pin location on the wrong side of the sand trap? Good luck with a simple P wedge I’m sure it will stay within 20 feet.
i’d probably agree a year ago but not now. they used to be called ‘rescue’ clubs but now most call them ‘utility’ clubs for good reason. they’ve also become more generally accepted by the pro’s now. i had replaced my 5 wood with a mizuno 17′ first (TT S300) and then a 910H 19′. used them off the tees, off the grass (has a bit higher flight and softer landing on the greens), and even replacing the wedge when i’m just off the green. there is a difference in being a luddite or being someone who thinks even Old Tom, who was an innovator, would approve.

13 years ago at 9:24 pmroy mcavoy only needing a 7 iron. or a bag of gardening supplies. TFM.
13 years ago at 10:11 pmIf you’re good you only need a driver, a wood, 5, 7, 9, a wedge and putter. However, I have probably used all of these on the same hole before.
13 years ago at 11:31 pmNo way!? An 8 handicap?!? Man, you are an amazing golfer. I hope you enjoy shooting in the 80s.
13 years ago at 2:33 amFucking pro up there ^^^^^

13 years ago at 6:27 pmYou can easily use a 56 or a 54 and accomplish the same feat. Depends on how much you want it to roll
13 years ago at 8:18 pmNot “carrying” any clubs

13 years ago at 12:52 amthanks for letting us know. maybe try submitting that one to the golf magazine and see what they think about it.
13 years ago at 9:46 am^^ Also maybe try submitting an angry hornet’s nest into your rectum.
13 years ago at 10:16 am^ I like your style
13 years ago at 5:38 pmOld Tom, FaF
13 years ago at 6:28 pmCarrying a 1-iron instead RFM.
13 years ago at 8:10 pmActually knowing how to hit long irons is crucial. Sometimes a 2 iron works much more magic then a 3 wood on some holes.
13 years ago at 1:21 amMcCoy holed out a par 5 from the teebox.
13 years ago at 6:39 amMcCoy can do anything except wear cargo shorts. They burn his skin.
