Son Of U.S. Senator Rand Paul Arrested In Charlotte Airport For Pregaming His 30-Minute Flight

Police say U.S. Sen. Rand Paul’s son was arrested after a flight from Kentucky to North Carolina.

The Charlotte Observer reports William Hilton Paul, 19, was arrested Saturday morning at Charlotte Douglas International Airport and charged with alcohol-related offenses.

The newspaper quotes Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Lt. Blake Hollar as saying it’s possible Paul was served alcohol on the flight from Lexington, Ky., to Charlotte.

When the plane landed shortly before 11 a.m., the son of the Republican senator from Kentucky and grandson of former presidential candidate Ron Paul was charged with consuming beer/wine underage, disorderly conduct and being intoxicated and disruptive.

Where’s the “Do you know who my father is?” defense? You’ve gotta play that card from the jump if you’re young Billy Paul, don’t you?

The thirty-minute liftoff to touchdown time is an estimate based on the distance, but any way you slice it the plane landed at 11:00am, and he stepped off that flight in a “disorderly, intoxicated and disruptive” manner. That’s efficiency. The 19-year-old carefree son of a U.S. Senator, and grandson of a former presidential candidate, started hitting the sauce early Saturday morning.
