VIDEO: South Carolina Football’s Military-Style Training Camp Looks Intense AF
After a few mediocre years, the South Carolina Gamecocks look as ready as ever to reclaim some respect in the SEC East. And, if they do so this year, they’ll have the great men and women of the U.S. Army to thank.
The Gamecocks, who went 3-9 overall last year, visited nearby Fort Jackson for some offseason training exercise and holy shit did it look intense.
HA! And you thought up-downs were going to be the toughest part of training camp. If you don’t do those with coach watching, you get sent home. You don’t do those while at Fort Jackson? I’m pretty sure you “disappear.” Good thing the offensive line has some depth.
All around a really cool move by Will Muschamp and the Gamecocks coaching staff to set this up. There’s no better way to team build than by doing the same exercises (albeit on a lesser scale) that the number one military in the world does. ‘Merica..
Maybe this will help them get into the papjohns.com bowl again only to get bounced by Uconn.
9 years ago at 12:14 pmAs someone who went to Jackson I can assure you it’s not Intense As Fuck. Ft Jackson doesn’t get maneuver folks like Armor or Infantry. I thought Basic at Jackson was kinda easy. Kinda like anyone playing USC feels.
9 years ago at 1:33 pmIt’s not hazing as long as the school is able to eventually make millions of dollars in profit off of it.
