“St. Fratty’s Day” At Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo Literally Brought Down The Roof
Pro tip: If the amount of people on a garage roof rivals a Gainesville Waffle House during Sunday brunch, it’s best to steer clear of said garage. A few Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo students learned that the hard way.

From ABC 7:
The party, which had at least 1,500 attendees, began early Saturday morning and was still ongoing when fire crews responded to the incident in the 300 block of Hathway Avenue at about 6:21 a.m.
Nothing ruins a party quite like the infrastructure you’re standing on disappearing from with under your feet. In total, eight people were injured, but miraculously nobody was seriously hurt — other than that poor bastard whose thigh was impaled. I’m sure he sobered up real quick with a 2×4 protruding from his leg.
Can’t overlook the best detail of the whole story either: fire crews arrived on scene at 6:21 a.m. This party was going off at the crack of dawn. Just a dedication to the art of day drinking that should be acknowledged and commended..

St. Fratrick would be proud.

11 years ago at 4:55 pmSt. Fratty’s is usually thrown on St. Paddys day weekend. The reason it starts at 5 am is because the bars open at 6 am in San Luis Obispo for St Pattricks day, tradition. Pregame at 5, head to the bars at 6. St Frattys day was moved up a week to try and avoid the cops and campus admin whos been cracking down hard on Greek Life at Poly. Obviously, they cant stop us.
