Statue On University Campus Depicting Man Talking To Woman On Bench Deemed Sexist, I Give Up

Sexist Statue Depicts A Man Talking To A Woman Sitting On A Bench

A disgusting, degrading, and sexist statue has finally been exposed for what it is. The statue, erected at the University of Incarnate Word in San Antonio, depicts a man propping his foot on a bench to speak to a woman, also sitting on the bench.

A harmless display representing typical college fraternization, right? Wrong.

From Washington Examiner:

That tweet went viral over Memorial Day weekend. It all started when Ash Hernandez saw the statue on her way to take a teacher’s certification test. She was so outraged that she ran back to her car to get her phone to snap a picture.

“The sculpture just screamed mansplaining,” Hernandez told Women in the World, a New York Times affiliate.

Hernandez is a goddamn social heroine. Notice how the man is quite literally talking down to the woman (an act known as “mansplaining”), who is posed in a submissive position. Also, notice how her head is level with his penis, suggesting that women live only to satisfy their male superiors with unreciprocated oral sex.

This statue is so sexist that the mere sight of it has brainwashed my fragile, easily-persuaded male mind into thinking I am better than all women. Upon seeing it, I abruptly stood up in my cubicle and loudly demanded that the TSM writers be paid less than me. I then sprinted to a nearby high school and yelled at girls in the hallway to stop distracting their male classmates with their exposed shoulders. Hussies.

I clung to only a few remaining shreds of sympathy for members of the female gender after four years of fraternity life taught me to hate them — because that’s what frats do, you guys. Then this statue comes along. God help us poor, close-minded men.

They actually go for a Mrs. degree by sitting in front of the med school for 4 years and preying on un-suspecting, future male doctors.

You wouldn’t tear down the Statue of David simply because he is naked in public. Why would you have the work of an artist removed simply because your interpretation of it makes you think its sexist.

Yes, but since the statue of David is somewhat in a power pose it may make one person feel insecure and have to be taken down because if one person is offended the whole world has to change for them

No, the statue is brown so it cant be racist. If it were white, like stone, then it would be racist

It’s sexist to assume that the man was standing in a position to be condescending to the woman. Why are feminists spending time trying to interpret the statues connotation.

Talking with a woman is now sexist. I guess we’ll just not reproduce anymore. We had a good run gentlemen

You could also write an article on the shooting of the student by a campus police man that occurred here…
