^Most people on this site can afford a Mac, and it’s operating system has much fewer bugs than any version of Windows. I would imagine many people on this site have Macs. If not, they probably have the TFM app on their iPod Touch or iPhone. It wouldn’t be surprising if likealittleLBT is right.
Seriously. Fucking iHippie iPhones never get service anyway because they are for 13 year olds who loves retarded ass games and apps and shit. Everyone do yourself a favor, pick up a Blackberry and start getting shit done.
There are like 3 posts about him because he’s an incredibly significant American who just died. His company is a big reason why the American tech industry dominates the world. Further, the tech sector is largely responsible for keeping the American economy from completely going down the shitter.
If you’re using a Macbook Pro, youre either a) a woman or b) some shitpoor hipster trying to make a living designing logos for successful companies run by people whos coffee you probably make. Either way, make me a fucking sandwich and shut the fuck up.
Just calm down and respect the man. Every company is trying to be like Apple because of their success. All phones are trying to be like the iPhone, all tablets are looking like iPads, and Windows is even becoming like OSX. Sorry I like to spend my ridiculous amounts of money on what’s best out there.
My $1500 PC has a processor that you can’t get on a Macbook, since they offer only the lowest tier of the I7, a graphics card with twice the dedicated memory available on even the iMac, let alone any of their notebooks, and can handle software that would crash any Apple product, if OSX were to be compatible with it in the first place. Bootcamp is a waste of time, because unless you buy the Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, there is no point in arguing that it can run both, since any other version of Windows means you have an OS intended for a cheap PC.
Also, to get the best Macbook Pro, which would have slightly worse specifications, it would run you close to 3700…I have a 30″ monitor attached to my laptop, Bose Companion speakers, and two full docking stations, and still paid close to 1000 less, when combined with my PC, than I would have had to pay to just get a Macbook.
Piker, you lost any credibility when you said you use Bose speakers. Is your home theater also hooked up to that sweet vizio TV you got last black friday as well?
Piker, out of curiosity, what PC do you own, what hardware are you running, and how the hell did you pick it up for $1500? I’m looking at updating to a Sony Vaio Z series because I used one at the internship this summer and really enjoyed it, but entry price is about $2 grand, a little ways away from $1500. The screen isn’t big, but I have a docking station and second monitor anyway, and I want something portable that performs. Obviously, the customer pays for portability, but unless you built it yourself, I don’t know where you’d find that much better hardware for so much less.
And if USC is anything like Iowa, can’t you pick up Windows 7 Professional 64-bit for free through your university’s MSDNAA? The college of engineering does that at least, and computer science and math majors get it too, so I assume the whole university can do it. I’ve done that and reimaged a couple of friends’ machines that were still running XP and Vista. Never done it on a Mac because I’ve never owned one (not a big Apple fan), but IT professionals that I worked with were running it on their MacBook Pros without any problems. I’ve never run software that required a top-end graphics card (can’t say I’ve ever been a big gamer), so I can’t speak on the whole “this program would crash any Mac” topic.
Of course, this isn’t the best forum to have a technical discussion, but it sounds like you may very well know your shit. If you check your trolls like you check your email, I’m interested to hear your reply.
And to those of you who think knowing something about computers is NF, you’re just as ignorant as the hipster who bought a Mac because “it looks shiny” or someone who only drinks Maker’s Mark because “it’s what fratstars drink.” Be an educated, conservative gentleman, and make an informed decision. I liken it to a sorostitute: eventually, I’m going to take my dick out of her mouth, and I would appreciate it if she has something intelligent to say.
He was also adopted and had to cash in coke bottles to afford food at one point in his life. Then he became one of the greatest CEOs in the world and was a self-made billionaire. But I’m sure he wasn’t next door neighbors to George Bush like you are so that makes him a geed.
The man made a company that today has more money then our government. TFM When other companies try to tell him to do something their way he basically gave the middle finger, did shit his way, and made more money. FAF
To anyone arguing Mac vs. PC, remember the fact that it is not what the man was a part of , but the man himself. It is his product, not the embodiment of himself. He lived the American dream of advancing oneself. He should be treated as such. Any opinions towards his former company’s products should be disregarded to the point of accepting that he was a good man, tenacious for a better life and he found it. If you can not put yourself in that category, then you do not compare to him and may never to aspire to be.
This is seriously getting ridiculous. He was a great man and will be missed, but he doesn’t need to take over this site.

14 years ago at 11:33 amnot really, 95% of computers run windows and I don’t think the app sales are THAT high yet.

You sound poor. Keep working your resume on a $700 shitstain of a computer. Maybe one day you’ll be able to afford something nice.
