Student Answers YOLO On Math Test And Teacher’s Response Is Absolutely Fantastic

If you are unfamiliar with the term “YOLO”, I want to shake your hand because you have been able to successfully navigate your life away from one of the worst trends to ever hit social media. “You only live once” is the motto made famous by Drake and Lil’ Wayne in a song cleverly titled “The Motto.” The Internet exploded after the song came out, and every Tom, Dick, and Harry on Twitter hashtagged YOLO after everything they tweeted. I believe those who lack any sort of intellectual prowess (the majority of our citizens) use it as some sort of justification for saying, “fuck it” and then doing some really dumb shit. This was 2011, guys. Three years ago.

The fact that some fuckstick used #YOLO as an answer on a math test this year is beyond me. I am embarrassed. I am embarrassed for the kid, his family, and the state of our youth in America. I mean, good God–take a look at the question this kid couldn’t answer. If you are unable to do this math problem, please go to your local liquor store and find a nice bottle of wine (I recommend a Malbec). Pour that shit out, fill it with bleach, and chug it. You don’t deserve to be breathing air. No wonder China and 27 other countries outrank us in global mathematical rankings. We are raising absolute morons.

Thankfully, there is a silver lining in this story, one last beacon of hope for the youth of America today: the teacher. Take a look at his response: #MinimumWage, #Future, #McDonalds. Talk about a straight shooter–this guy really cuts through the bullshit and calls it as he sees it. He’s absolutely right, too. This kid has no chance of becoming anything in life, and he probably couldn’t even make it as a burger flipper at Mickey D’s.

To all those heroes who are probably reading this right now, let this be a lesson: never fucking say YOLO. Ever. If you want to be anything in life, justifying your stupidity by saying you only live once is not going to get you where you want to be.

Teachers don’t make shit. Making fun of people for being poor isn’t funny if you are also poor.
