Being a walk-on college football player takes serious dedication and big time cajones. You spend all that time training and go to all those practices and basically spend your days as a tackling dummy for superior athletes, and in return you get to suit up for home games only. You put in all the work, and you receive almost none of the glory. Oh, and you still have to pay tuition.

But when a coach surprises a walk-on with one of the leftover scholarships in front of his teammates, it’s video gold every single time.

Redshirt sophomore tight end Eli Wolf, the younger brother of senior tight end Ethan Wolf (already on scholarship), is the latest subject of one of these incredible videos.

Out-of-state tuition for University of Tennessee students (the Wolfs are from Ohio) is about 46 grand, including room and board and a textbooks and all that shit. And now it’s all paid for because of his hard work. Good on you, Eli. And good for you, Mr. and Mrs. Wolf..
