This is just dumb. Nobody follows lacrosse. I have no clue what you’re referring to. Maybe it was on sportscenter; I didn’t see it this morning. Either way, this post is completely irrelevant and in no way a TFM.
First, sweet name you fucking GDI. Second, you don’t follow lacrosse because you’re a fucking peasant who grew up in a trailer park and couldn’t afford the equipment, like everyone else in your shit town. Lastly, go fuck yourself.
That was really clever PG Fratting. You made fun of my pseudonym. No one’s ever done that! (I personally don’t get it. At least Apple’s an American company and I’m not throwing money at RIM in fucking Canada.) Then, you go on to insult my upbringing. Again, really flexing your intellect! I can’t guarantee that my family is wealthier than yours, but it would be a pretty safe assumption. That’s all I’ve got. Enjoy being a raging douche bag.
i have a lot of friends that played lacrosse in high school, but i feel like college lacrosse is mostly big in the northeast so it’s understandable to not follow it
There’s nothing frattier than Canada’s national sport…
By the way, even most Yankee bros don’t follow lacrosse. It’s not nearly as fun to watch as football. It’s good to play, but about as interesting to “follow” as grass growing.
lacrosse is played by upper tier fratstars whose parents income were high enough to allow them to partake in the sport. This sport alone separates the gdi’s. Whereas football and baseball can be played by any lower beings.
Even the best equipment in the world won’t run you more than a few thousand dollars, so please stop pretending you have to be rich as shit to lax. It’s not a sport for poor people, but you’re going too far.
The majority of schools that have a lacrosse team are private preppy school. Very rarely will you ever see a public school with a decent team. This sport is not something you can pick up and play. It has a high learning curve and requires you to take lessons or have access to a person whose been playing for years. If you want to talk about tradition, this sport was founded by native Americans so idk how more traditional you can get than that.
I love when lacrosse players try to act pompus. All America remembers about that sport is some guys at Duke raped a stripper. But I guess they were TFTC? Oh, and I’m sure my golf clubs are more expensive than your stick and shoulder pads.
After watching the video, I have to admit it was cool. Certainly no where near as epic as the trick plays you see in football, but well deserving of a spot on the top 10.
^^They were acquitted because they had the money (paraphrased from one of the parents on, if my memory is right, 60 minutes) to hire lawyers to fight the charges and the DA was subsequently sent to jail for this
please, lacrosse does not have a high learning curve. all you have to do is be athletic to be good at it. baseball is a sport you need to take lessons and play a lifetime to be good.
Lacrosse is easy as fuck to pick up. And naggers play it too; there’s one at UNC who starts, for example… more and more sprouting up every year. People of the NCAA, the jiggs have left the pumkin patch. Hide ya kids.
Did you honestly say only private schools are the best at lacrosse. Try going to the mainline in Pennsylvania where we have the PIAA number 1 lacrosse teams in the country, Conestoga, And many of the rest of the schools in the area are top 20. fuck you
Lacrosse is probably one of the frattiest sports out there. It has more old money in it than pretty much any sport. All the Ivy league schools play it competitively as do most top prep schools. It may not be considered “fratty” in your redneck one horse town where all anyone ever talks about in high school football, but in the grander scheme of things lacrosse is an old money sport with a very wealthy background.
Lacrosse is Yankee is shit. And most lax bros are not old money. They’re decidedly middle-class kids from the mid-Atlantic. There are some old money laxers, but that’s because it’s emerged as a sport for white people now that they can’t play football. And, as an Ivy Leaguer, I can tell you that the strongest lacrosse teams are not in our league. Princeton is the only one that’s ever been any good at it. Hopkins, Syracuse, Maryland, and Virginia are the good ones. I don’t have anything against lacrosse and I’m all for respecting it Yankee bros. That being said, it isn’t the type of fratty that this site is about. And crew is so much more old money.
Sorry about that. I don’t really follow it, so I don’t know the minute-by-minute rankings, just the big legacies. And it’s easy to forget Cornell’s in the Ivy League.
Actually to play on any respectable lacrosse team at any level it costs a bit of money. Like hockey, non-NCAA collegiate lacrosse is a lot less expensive than prep and like hockey the cost varies school to school. At the college level, if you play non-NCAA, it should cost anywhere from 1500 to 7000 for dues depending where you play, 500 per year for equipment, plus some travel expenses.
At the prep level it costs a lot more, especially if you are good. Anywhere from 1500 to 7000 for dues depending on the quality of the team, recruiting camps 500-700 each, most players worth going to one will go to three or four, about 500 per calender year for equipment, cost of of private trainers, which a lot of good players use, are from 50 to 100 per session and probably twice a week year round, plus cost of travel for 4 or 5 tournaments per year (plane tickets, hotels, tournament fees etc.) and not to mention games that are not in tournament style play.
Sidenote: Even though the NHL is dominated by America’s hat filled with Canucks (not the team, the people) and wood sucking maple syrup lovers, hockey is a very respectable sport.
Their greek life is decent though while in a lot of other IL greek life has honestly fallen through the cracks leaving societies, eating clubs and final clubs to carry the burden.
Yea I think you anti-lacrosse tards are missing the point here. The point is that the hidden ball trick was a priceless play, executed to perfection. I don’t care if you like lacrosse or think it is Quittage without the broomsticks. The fact of the matter is that the UNC players looked like a bunch of aloof, senseless, GDI bastards who looked like they were going to shit their pants in utter disbelief because they just got turned away from the fratcastle. So that’s my two cents coming from someone who can appreciate that play, but plays and knows baseball is the ultimate frat pastime.
Thats pretty agreeable, I think the frattiness of lacrosse is a case by case basis. I’ve known lacrosse players that are monster chugging GDI’s and I’ve know lacrosse players that are FaF. And regardless of old money or new money lacrosse is a sport for relatively well off white males, and the native americans that still play it up north. They are actually the ones that invented it and not Canada as someone else suggested.
But the point, as Creme BROlee so adequately said is the trick play is whats the TFM, not lacrosse. Tricks plays are FaF, always have been, always will be.
^^well said, a case by case basis for sure. “Monster chugging GDI’s” ahah…you mean the ones that are dumber than a bag of hammers and are “total lax brahhhhs with the sick flows”. So FaF hah.
I respect lacrosse, but it’s Canada’s national sport. I know Indians invented it and I’m definitely not saying Canadians did, unless you count Southeastern Canadian Indians. By the way, I’m commenting so much to procrastinate on studying for exams, not because I care that much.
I literally give zero fucks to anyone that claims lacrosse isn’t fratty, or tries to detract from it’s status as a (socially and athletically) elite sport. These people clearly do not have a lot going on for them upstairs, and are so caught up with football that they can’t be rational when evaluating a growing sport. Therefore, they are not worth any time worrying about.

15 years ago at 6:47 pmlacrosse is northern “bro”, not southern fratty, which is what this site was originally based on.
however when i googled this trick play, it was sick. fratty? maybe. not good enough to be a TFM, but not entirely NF
