TCU Quarterback Casey Pachall Disenrolls from School

TCU head coach Gary Patterson had some big news today when he walked up in front of the podium for his weekly meeting with the media. The big news was about star QB Casey Pachall who was recently cited for DWI. His arrest was not the first of his problems, though. Pachall has a troublesome history with alcohol and drugs.

Patterson, along with the Pachall family, finally decided the kid needed help. He has withdrawn from classes at TCU to enroll in an in-patient care facility.

“No questions about the game? Since this is what you came for … first off, a lot of thought,” Patterson said. “This is what is going to happen. After a very long conversation with Casey and his parents, the chancellor …”

Patterson said that Casey Pachall has dis-enrolled from TCU. Pachall is going to go an in-patient care facility. Patterson said he may be there already. Patterson said those programs last between 30 to 60 days.

This is not the definite end of Pachall’s time in a Horned Frog uniform. Patterson is giving him a chance to return to school after completing the program. “I don’t think (suspending Pachall) one game or three games would have made any difference. You have to change a kid’s life. For us this was the best decision, for both of us. We both get a chance to heal.”

Well now TCU will have a credible excuse for why they did so horribly in their new conference come season’s end.
