Honestly, most people in the greek community are part of the 99%. That said, I think that protesting Wall Street is dumb.

Ok guys, obviously this isn’t in NYC, but they did this in response to the protests on Wall Street. I seriously think that some of you guys are illiterate. You can’t fucking read between the lines.

Yeah I’d say realistically our families more in the 5% bracket which is like 150k and up. But since we’re in college I doubt any of us are making that kind of bread.

if you are an undergrad making 150k what the fuck are you doing in college?

toss me….he was talking about his family annual earning, not his own. Let me explain for your down syndrome-like brain: He is in college. That means his parents (assuming they are still together not like some hippie-3-marriage-type-Californian) are around 45-55 and combined making only around 150k. That is called middle class where I’m from. Sorry for not being sorry, but your poor. Go buy a used car and live a shitty suburb for the rest of your life Brobert.

150k a year can actually support a family? The fuck? Now I get why some parents get mad when we take victory lap(s) at college.

150K is not poor you retard. That’s enough to pay for school and spending money. Just not enough for a private jet. Most greeks aren’t that rich. Besides that type of income in upper middle class. Middle class is around 30-70k and depends on education, career, and neighborhood to distinguish between blue collar.

As much as I hate the hippies practicing for their bright future of homelessness out front, this is classless. Yes, the ones actually out there camping are unemployed trash, but there are millions of hardworking men that have legitimate issues with Wall Street right now. This is the kind of thing that not only pisses off dirty hippies, but real people as well.

Agreed, very fortunate to have what I have and never take anything for granted because it could all be gone tomorrow. And it certainly was for a lot of hard-working Americans recently.

Fratvalanche, it sounds like you need to diversify your funds. That being said, never take what you have for granted. Somebody has to work for it.

No I’m fine trust me on that, just throwing it out there that nobody should take anything for granted. Your last sentence pretty much sums up my thoughts on the subject.

The south has Jimmy Carter… Now, let’s compare how the two dealt with Islamic scum bags… Obama is president>Bin Laden dies. Carter is president>Iran hostage crisis.

If anyone has studied any sort of political theory, the middle class is not to be messed with. When the homeless are joined with the middle class, then Wall Street and the United States has problems. Until then, it’s nothing more than a weak effort at “changing the system”.

While we are obviously all well off individuals, the system still favors the top 1% (which we all obviously represent). This isn’t what anyone intended when founding this nation, and there needs to be change. This change needs to be gradual, however, and any sane person knows it won’t happen overnight.

I’m more than happy to pay my share of taxes if it improves the life of the HARD working lower and middle class, not those bums who are living off the socialist ideals of the current government.

Don’t get me wrong, I am a conservative for sure, but I am more than anything a realist. The current conservatives representing the republican party are too radical and seem impractical, for the most part (not condemning all republican candidates). But we, as a country, need a sound medium between the democratic ideals, and that of the traditional conservative ideals. Only then will we achieve some sort of equilibrium.
