      The average takeoff speed of a commercial 737, with passengers, is around 160 mph. I’d say it’s somewhat a justified race.

        I disagree. This Tesla is reaching top speed on this runway while the airplane isn’t even getting close to half of its top speed.

      I was just gonna say, the Hellcat Charger would have held the lead longer. Anything more than 1/4 and the Charger destroys the Tesla.

    They are testing acceleration not speed, intern. Since the car has a better power to weight ratio than the plane it accelerates quicker.
