You seem to be forgetting that the clothing brands and styles you worship so much originate from the Northeast. Vineyard Vines was founded in Martha’s Vineyard… North. For you southern belles, Lilly Pulitzer was born in New York, went to school in Connecticut, and started her business in Florida (not northern, but is a state that is repeatedly proclaimed by you as NF). And as for the godfather of preppy clothing, Ralph Lauren was born to immigrants in New York, not to some old money family in the South. Areas like Greenwich, Darien, and Rowayton Connecticut as well as Nantucket, Cape Cod, and Martha’s Vineyard are ridiculously more preppy than most regions in the South. Sure, there are some kickass fraternities in the South, and who doesn’t love dressing up for a football game in warm weather? But saying that everything above the MD line is NF is the same as saying that everything below it is FAF. If this were true then why is every other comment on this website dedicated to SEC schools bashing any southern school that’s not (and often enough even ones that are) in the SEC? Listen to how much the cocky sons of bitches on here contradict each other is amusing to a point, but detracts from the whole point of it all: to celebrate our fratdom and sratdom as a community of Greeks, not as individual chapters talking shit about anyone who isn’t their own chapter. So really, can’t we all just get along?

I respect a classy, informed post by someone no matter where they are from, and for anyone to call you a GDI would be ignorant. Furthermore, I agree with you on some points, but others aren’t entirely applicable. The north certainly has money in certain regions, and money properly managed is classy. It would be foolish to make fun of the North for a lack of monetary assets and such.
And as for the clothing we thank you with warm Southern cordiality and we will continue to wear them. But just because all of those brands are made in the north doesn’t mean the north is the primary consumer of these goods. The north is generally more industrialized and has been producing textiles for hundreds of years. I would guarantee that the South consumes more of these products, except possibly polo due to its recent expansion in past years into GDI designs. And let’s not forget about Southern Tide, Southern Marsh, Souther Proper, Coast, etc.
As far as Greek life goes, I appreciate your recognition of Southern Fraternities. I don’t intend any disrespect towards whatever fraternity you may be a part of but the stereotypical, average northern fraternity slims in comparison to the average Southern fraternity.
And sure we have plenty of trashy hicks from trailers who might be comparable to the guidos of the north and a lot of ignorance stems from these fools.

Gents, you do realize half the frats in this country we’re founded in the north, including two of the biggest, nationally. Phi Psi and Fiji were both PA, and both are definitely frat.
I was looking for a free document scanning software on the Internet. I had used Textbridge for the past 8 years with many versions of Windows OS and I was not willing to buy another expensive scanning software any more. Then I found some interesting ones online, like Free OCR, etc. Though not as good as commercial OCR softwares, they did produce promising results to me.
