I Wish The Texas DMV Would’ve Greenlighted These Rejected Vanity Plate Requests

When I switched over from a Florida license plate to a Texas license plate last year, I heavily considered going the vanity plate route. Not because I’m an arrogant prick who wants to make an unwelcome impression on those around me at all times — though I am — but because I had/have the greatest idea for a vanity plate in the history of Texas vanity plates. For proof, check out this Facebook post from last year wherein I debate going all in on the life of a vanity boy.

I ended up saving the $70ish and going the generic, DMV-assigned license plate route, but I often daydream about my VNTYPL8 life. There are hundreds of other Texas residents who have the same feeling of reminiscence over what could have been, though they lament not their own inaction, but rather the Texas DMV’s rejection.

ABC 13 hit up the Texas DMV to see what personalized license plates have been rejected thus far in 2017. Here’s a sample of the vanities that got the thumbs down.

There’s a really cool mom somewhere in Dallas who drank 2 bottles of rosé when she found out her vanity plate request was denied.
