Texas Governor Sends Out Fire Tweet After Cowboys Blow It Against The Saints
Texas governor Greg Abbott has always made it clear that he is a football fan first, politician second.
At no point in his tenure has that been more clear than during the Cowboys’ collapse Sunday night, when he sent out this fire tweet about Dallas’ terrible defense.
It was a bad weekend for Abbott, who is an alum of the University of Texas. On Saturday, the Longhorns were curbstomped by TCU, 50-7.
More politicians need to be like this. If our politicians wanted to relate to their constituents, they’d do this more often. Nothing makes a man seem more relatable than seeing the life drift away from him after his football team loses. It is a feeling we can all understand.
The best part of this tweet is that it reads like something my crazy uncle would’ve posted as his Facebook status. Isn’t Abbott in charge of our shitty border? I know it’s more complicated than that, but it feels like this would be like me tweeting “The Houston Texans are worse than a Steve Holt column!”

THIS is why we fucking hate you, Steve. You know nothing about law, current events, or common goddamn sense – hence why you’re a Democrat. Former Arizona Governor Jan Brewer tried taking control of the border in her home state in 2010, and was rebuked by the federal courts. They ruled in 2012 that the enforcement of immigration and border security laws is done exclusively at the federal level, not the state level.
