Texas Little League Coach Gives The Greatest Pump-Up Speech In Baseball History
In last night’s Little League World Series semi-final game, Texas eliminated California to advance to the United States Championship.
The game was filled with ups and downs — I know because, for some reason, I watched the whole thing. California jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first, but Texas responded with a grand slam in the bottom half of the inning to take a one-run lead. The two teams traded jabs for the rest of the game, with California winning for most of the contest, before Texas smacked a solo shot in the bottom of the fifth to tie it up at six. It would ultimately lead to an extra inning showdown (Little League games are only six innings), where Texas hit a walk-off home run in the eighth inning to advance. Truly thrilling stuff, if you care about 12-year-olds playing baseball (Editor’s note by Dorn: don’t do it).
But the highlight of the broadcast wasn’t any of the baseball action, it was this awesome pregame speech by an assistant coach for Texas who kind of looks like Kenny Powers.
Most Texas pump up ever and I love it. GIVE YOUR HEART TO THE GREATEST STATE AROUND, THE STATE OF TEXAS pic.twitter.com/XB29xl9sQ0

That right there is why you do it. You might only be 12 years old, but you’ve got a state behind you that loves winning — and hates California, too. They want you to beat those hippie, tax-loving, Billabong-wearing weirdos into the fucking ground. That’s who you represent, man. Also, do it so this old man won’t yell at you if you lose. He seems like one of those coaches who isn’t comfortable with losing, at any level.
Texas will face Pennsylvania on Friday for the U.S. Championship and a chance to play in the World Championship on Saturday. If you plan on betting on these games like I do, remember to check out my LLWS gambling tips HERE..

9 years ago at 10:49 amYou’re really stealing Dorno’s thunder with all these little league posts, Steve
9 years ago at 10:53 amPretty sure Dorn just logs in to SteveHolt when he finds a story like this to avoid the obvious problems with posting it himself.
9 years ago at 7:51 pmI honestly think you’re not writing fraternity related articles on purpose at this point because you know people are going to click on your article just to comment on how upset they are

9 years ago at 11:18 amI’m convinced Steve Holt is Dorn’s child molesting alter ego.
9 years ago at 11:40 amYou’re blogging about Little League Baseball. Unless someone’s little brother is on the team, not a single reader on this site gives a shit about the Little League World Series. And to make it all worse, you are just flat out copying Barstool. Steve Holt you are a walking Triple U. Unfunny, Unoriginal, and Uninspired.
