TFM’s Weekend Playlist: The Outlaw Ways

Howdy y’all! Takohandz here with your weekend playlist, titled “The Outlaw Ways,” which is made up primarily of country music created in the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s. This is what I consider authentic country music, and it’s the only music I listen to when I’m raising hell on a ranch. This playlist should be accompanied with whiskey, women, and guns. If this shit don’t make you wanna stomp and holler, then I don’t know what will.

Taco Hands, you still suck – but there’s some good shit on here. Definitely better than the bubblegum-pop, corporate sellout, “if you ain’t a 10 you a 9.9” country we get today.

Somethin ain’t right about a playlist with artists like Waylon Jennings, David Alan Coe, etc. being created by a guy who goes by “DJ Tako Handz”

All these people saying put so and so on there that aren’t even remotely outlaw country. Hell, throw some God damn Whitey Morgan on there. Or Tom Paul. Fuck, gimme more Hank Jr while you’re at it. It’s a good list if you’re getting introduced to 70s outlaw country, but God damn it, the real stuff is deeper within. Check out Waylon F’n Jennings live and tell me you don’t want to ride cross country in an old best up van or pickup with your buds shooting signs with a 12ga. and slugging down fifths of Beam. Or any Hank Jr album made before 1982. There’s plenty more where that came from. Say you don’t like, say you do, I don’t give a shit, but you won’t get the same feeling being 5 shots in to George Strait than you will George Jones. Good day.
