The 1% Need Wealth Therapy To Cope With Issue Of Being Filthy Fucking Rich

The 1% Needs Wealth Therapy For Dealing With All The Problems That Come With Having More Money Than You

All we hear about from the 99 percent is that they’ve got it rough. They take to Twitter and Wall Street to complain about their problems in a public setting, expecting pity — presumably burning valuable sick days and destroying American productivity.

But what about the wealthy people of America? Do they, too, not suffer? Why must we only focus on the issues that poors have when real problems exist among the real rich? Do you know how difficult it is to decide which luxury car to buy, which island to vacation on next, or whether or not to invest in a certain company? All this shit takes its toll. It’s hard out there for the rich.

Thankfully, there is help out there for us money-havers in the form of wealth therapy. The Guardian interviewed one of the most prominent wealth therapists, Clay Cockerall, to find out more about how the rich think.

There is guilt over being rich in the first place, he said. There is the feeling that they have to hide the fact that they are rich. And then there is the isolation – being in the 1%, it turns out, can be lonely.

Now you 99 percenters are making us hide the fact that we just straight up have so much more than you. Shame on you for wealth shaming. You disgust me.

Since when do I have to feel bad about being successful? It’s called hard work and determination and not being a little bitch. Fuck feminism.

You strike me as the try hard that takes a picture of himself and puts it as his picture on a satirical fraternity based website.

Maybe I just don’t hide behind an anonymous picture. Call me old fashioned.

What I love about young, unmarried, hipster, I deserve more “because”, people in our country is they don’t realize they are rich. Follow the link above and put in $30,000.00 of income for an individual. You’ll find that individual is in the top 3.8% wealthiest people on the planet. Sick of the wage/wealth gap convo. It isn’t that bad here when you put it in perspective.

    1. it is relative, if I made 14k in a foreign country I’d be rich. if I make 14k in the US I’m considered bordering poverty. however it is still more than most of the world.

Agreed, It is all relative, and this is a limited tool. It also doesn’t account for ownership of property or assets that have value. Just trying to make the point that life in this country is good/better compared to anywhere else. Doesn’t matter who you are.

hipsters serve me coffee, play me music at subway stations while I await my train to work, and ride bicycles that slow my cab down…

Have fun explaining that 2.5 average in sociology to a potential employer. Better settle in to mommy’s basement.

The 1% are the 1% bc they work hard and know how to protect what’s theirs. They are also generally philanthropists…giving time and money to worthy causes other than shitty social programs like Medicaid and Obamacare.

    1. so trying to help the less fortunate or retired eldery by providing them with medication and health care is not a worthy cause? ok.

      1. sounds like what doctors without Borders do that’s not a worthy cause either? or is because it’s not domestic makes it noble?

Trying to give people affordable healthcare is a worthy goal. The difference is Obamacare isn’t affordable for the target audience and the people who can’t afford it have to pay a fine higher than the average premium..

The difference is that paying for Obamacare is forced by the state, whereas donating money to programs like Doctors Without Borders is a worthy, benevolent thing that you choose to do.

If you can talk and be outgoing and develop a strong network money shouldn’t be a worry. It’s also nice everyone has the chance to define what wealth is to them. Being good at golf always helps.

I’ve never been good at golf (I know. NF) but I take my clients trap shooting instead. It seems to work just as well.
