The “Balls Out” Redband Trailer Proves It’s The Intramural Sports Movie We’ve All Been Waiting For
Intramural sports serve one very important purpose. For most people, their glory days die young, and all that’s left to do after they’re gone is attempt to relive them while punishing their booze addled and barely functioning bodies, the bastards on the other side of the ball attempting to stop them, and the poor referees who are making twenty dollars a game while the players rain upon them verbal abuse so foul that even the drunkest of stepfathers would take offense. And so we play ball.
But now, finally, those same dreams can be realized from your couch, which preferable, really. “Balls Out” stars roughly half the cast of Saturday Night Live and is the first, and thus greatest (THIS CANNOT BE ARGUED), collegiate intramural sports movie ever made. The Redband trailer has finally been released, and as an intramural competitor, it will sing to your soul.
From the other footage I’ve seen of the movie (we, like, know the creators, it’s not really a big deal, it’s whatever *casually sips coffee, winks*) this is going to be fantastic. You can check out more of the film on their website and follow Balls Out on Twitter to learn more about the movie.
Of all the things I’m looking forward to seeing in this movie, by far the greatest is SNL’s Beck Bennett’s deranged, psycho-comptetive, disgraced college athlete turned frat boy.
“Balls Out” hits theaters and on demand June 19th. Be sure to check it out.
That looks fucking awful.
