The Denver Nuggets Mascot Went Rogue And Appeared At A GOP Rally Without The Team’s Consent
The Denver Nuggets mascot attended a Republican rally hosted by Mitt Romney in Denver this week without telling any of his Nuggets supervisors. The Colorado GOP tweeted a photo of Rocky at the event with a group of local boy scouts, but then it was quickly deleted.
His team was very surprised that its mascot had made an unsanctioned political appearance. The Nuggets released a statement saying they had no idea Rocky was going to the rally, and that they would investigate the matter further.
Wincott said the KSE management team met Tuesday “with the actor who plays Rocky to figure out exactly how it happened and what transpired and get to the bottom of how all this occurred.” Wincott said the matter was being handled “internally” but the organization is setting “new protocol for anyone who wears a mascot uniform for a Kroenke sports team.”
This is not the first time the nation’s most politically active mascot has been in the news. Last year, he scared all of Denver’s schoolchildren when he was lowered into the basketball arena unconscious.

Keep doing you, Rocky. Just because you’re a big cartoon mascot, it doesn’t mean you don’t have feelings and beliefs that people should respect just like they do with everyone else..
