The “Neighbors” Cast Talks About Their Real Life Experience With Fraternities

Loved the movie, but I hate hearing people say, “Yeah I went to all the parties so it’s like I was practically in the fraternity.”

No, you weren’t. Simply from a partying perspective, you didn’t have to set up the parties (as a pledge), fund the parties, keep things from getting out of hand, and deal with the constant backlash from the university regarding said parties.

And that’s not even going into the pledging process, among other things.

So, no. Just because you stood in the corner and had a beer like a fucking weirdo doesn’t mean you were “pretty much in a fraternity.”

just lost a lot of respect for the movie, especially seeing as how one of the things I appreciated most about it was how it was not entirely incorrect (see Animal House)

Being in a fraternity is much more than partying. Geed’s who look from the outside will never understand that

For a bunch of people who don’t get it, it came together well enough. I liked the movie. It’s like more than the some of the parts, maybe. Like a long island ice tea.

Being around the brotherhood doesn’t mean you’ll understand it. That guy Garf doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

So I’m supposed to enjoy a movie about fraternities made by people with only distant connections to actual fraternities? I am not amused.
