The Walton County Sheriff’s Office Wants You To Know Destin, FL Is NOT Your 2016 Spring Break Spot

Two weeks ago, we reported that Panama City Beach banned alcohol on its beaches in the month of March to thwart unruly spring breakers from soiling their good name and turning their resort town into a hedonistic drug, alcohol and fornication fest. Then last week, we recommended seven alternative spring break destinations to PCB, one of which being just down the road: Destin, Florida. Destin, the quaint, quiet, family-friendly vacation spot is not known for the wild behavior you typically see in Panama City Beach.

Today, we received a snarky as fuck letter from the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, with the intent to let us — and all of you — know that if you’re thinking of booking your spring break trip to Destin next March, you motherfuckers better think again.

Below is that salty letter we received via email.

Edit: The Patrick Kane reference was just pointed out to me. This guy’s too good.

So snarky, right? I love this letter. Such attitude. They get the point across, too. It was effective. All beach-bound spring breakers have officially been put on notice. The virgin beaches of Destin, Florida will remain virgin as the Walton County Sheriff’s Office has thrown away the key to its spring break chastity belt.

You demented college kids are still free to act like caged horny alcoholics who are set free on the beach for one week per year, but you’re not doing it in Destin, and you’re not doing it on the watch of the Walton County Sheriff’s Office.

“By the looks of your comments you don’t have much support among your comrades anyway.”

This is 100% true, but to be fair, sir, we never have their support.

P.S. Hey Fratrick Kane, get a fucking map, idiot. Have you even been to Whale’s Tale, dude? You’re making us look like morons.

Walton County Sheriff’s Office, I’m calling your bluff. Me and my 20 pledge brothers stayed in Destin/Walton County this year and had over 100 people in our house every night, drank on the beach, and caused much damage in the house. No cops ever came and no one in the group received a ticket for the whole trip. Party on, Destin

Destin is actually in Okaloosa County, not Walton County, and for the record Okaloosa County is notorious for:

    Come on vacation
    Leave on probation
    Return on violation

Honestly the cops here don’t fuck around, it’s best just to stay away from my beach with all that Spring Break bullshit please and thank you. 😉

Destin is in okaloosa, but the party spot, like in the article, is whales tail, which is in Miramar beach, walton county

Destin is a tourist town. We survive based on our biggest months (spring break and summer vacation.) With this being said, we invite you to come, enjoy our beach, and spend money. All we ask for is respect. Respect the locals and our beaches. Remember when you leave, it’s the locals that have to deal with the mess and clean up. Instead of seeing this as a “challenge” please remember other individuals take pride in calling this our home year round. We want to keep our children, beaches, and sea life safe, healthy, and clean. We also want the tourist (frats and young families) to be able to have a safe and enjoyable trip. And while the cops may not be as strict as of right now, I do see them cracking down next year if they see an issue. Again, we always invite you with open arms to enjoy our paradise with us, but please don’t take advantage of our southern hospitality.
    Sincerly,
    A Destin (Okalooda County) local.

Actually I believe he was trying to correct your misguided attempts at reading a map, You keep going off about Destin well I have news for you, Destin is not in Walton County it is Okaloosa County. The Whales Tail is in Miramar Beach not Destin .
So maybe you should take some cartography classes learn to read a map and then actually do some research before publishing a half baked and badly written article before patting yourselves o the back over how clever you are. I suggest you check the public sources available to all the number and types of arrests made over Spring Break the last few years and you see it is not a “boast” nor “empty threat” he was simply stating the facts as they stand. If you are caught drinking and you are underage or in possession of any illicit substances do not pass go do not collect your $200 you will go directly to jail.
