The Weekly Dump: Shit Clips Edition

Christmas is basically here and I’ve been seriously basking in that altruistic seasonal glow, so I was thinking to myself, “What can I provide for my tried and true Dumpers out there that will show my true appreciation for their loyal readership?” And then it hit me like a shit brick. “Clips, man. Give the people clips.”

So, not only will I be treating you to The Weekly Dump a day early, but I will also be kicking off the first-ever Shit Clips edition. A short comp(ost)ilation, if you will, of classic cinematic shit scenes.

Dumb and Dumber

When it comes to laugh-out-loud ridiculous moments, Dumb and Dumber has them in spades — with the toilet fiasco scene taking the number one spot. I mean, this is a career-defining moment for Jeff Daniels. Probably the best acting performance of his entire career. And, yes, I have seen The Newsroom. The comedic timing is just spot-on, not to mention the fact that he does a pretty convincing job of portraying the anguish of a guy who quite possibly just took the worst shit of his life. 10/10.

Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle

Here’s a scene that’s way more clever than it gets credit for, using the guise of innovation to try and sneak a complete and total falsehood past us. The innovation, of course, being the creation of the game Battleshits, with the falsehood being that chicks actually take dumps (and hot British chicks at that). A slick attempt, don’t get me wrong, but one that a professional such as myself has been trained to see right through.
