Theta Chi At Alabama Just Mollywhopped The Competition With A New, Monstrous House
While many schools are constantly finding ways to separate themselves from Greek life, the University of Alabama is doing the exact opposite. Within the last decade, construction and renovation on fraternity and sorority houses has seen a $200 million boom.
The latest development in this expansion is the Theta Chi house, which recently opened the doors of its monstrous 40-bedroom home. The fraternity did so in style–after the Tide pounded FAU in a biblical beat down–with a cocktail reception, a buffet dinner, and a ceremony with more than 500 people in attendance.
Here’s a closer look at the new house on University Boulevard, a rumored $7 million project:
This is becoming one big dick-measuring contest, and I’m looking forward to seeing just how extravagant and ridiculous houses will become in the future..

11 years ago at 3:41 pmIt’s absolutely ridiculous how nice (and friggin’ huge) the houses are at Alabama. I went there for a game last year, and it was without a doubt one of the best weekends of my life. The campus is insanely nice, every fraternity house looks like a damn hotel, the girls were gorgeous, their stadium is a cathedral, and they absolutely punished us in football. Thumbs up, Tuscaloosa. You’re doing it right.
