This Guy Filming Himself Skiing Off A 150-Foot Cliff Reminds Me Of My Recent Trip To Vail

Backcountry skier Devin Stratton recently shred some fresh powder in the Wasatch Range in Utah, much like I did a couple weeks ago during my trip to Vail, when he unexpectedly came upon a 150-foot cliff. I didn’t have a helmet-mounted GoPro recording when I was skiing in Vail, but luckily for us, Devin did as he skied right off the cliff to the soft snow 150 feet below.

The video is intense.

Here’s a Vail t-shirt I purchased from a shop at the base of the mountain.

Thankfully, Devin didn’t have any injuries from the fall, not even suffering so much as a bruise. How lucky. I didn’t get hurt while I was skiing in Vail either, as I was able to stay up on both skis the whole time, except during a couple very minor falls. Devin did, however, lose a ski that took him and his buddy five hours to find. What a day.

Vail is for poors on a budget. Aspen is where playas with stacks go to ski and party

You probably stayed on the groomed greens and blues like the true gaper you are. You wouldn’t know what to do with actual fresh powder. Go ski in Tahoe like a man.
