This Guy’s Incredible Tribute Video About His Dog Will Make You Feel All The Feels

There is not a more unique relationship than the one a man shares with his pup.
Dogs are the fiercely loyal companions that a lot of young guys need. They have an incredible sense about them to know when to love and when to give you space. You could lock your dog in a kennel for eight hours a day and when you finally let him out, he isn’t bitter at all. He is ecstatic to see you.
I get teary-eyed when I think about my pup sometimes. The sad thing about dogs is that you’re pretty much guaranteed to out-live them. When the time comes, it’s brutal. I know, I had to do put my dog down this spring. It ain’t easy.
This guy is going through the same thing. He channeled all of his feelings about his dog into a beautifully shot short film. It’s a little corny, but it’ll make you feel some serious feels.
I’m not going to lie; I watched the video twice. I could watch it on mute and still feel for the pup. The best shot, for me, is the dog laying in the hospital bed with the guy. That’s a damn good dog.
My dog’s favorite nighttime snack was my Whataburger french fries. After watching this video, I’m definitely going to get some tonight..
I wasn’t ready for this. Powerful video. RIP Denali.

10 years ago at 12:18 pmTL; DR dogs are probably higher beings sent to make our lives suck less.
I don’t remember where I heard it but it always stuck with me that there’s a belief that dogs are the corporeal representation of protective, guiding spirits or even angels who exist to help us through our lives one bit at a time. Basically since their domestication, they’ve been an instrumental component of human history and evolution, and can smell, hunt, etc so well because people physically can’t. Additionally, they’re so loyal and loving because they exist solely to better the life of the human or group of humans (I.e. Family) they were “paired” with. I’m not sure if I believe that dogs are a physical manifestation of spirits, but I do know that seeing videos like this or the clips where soldiers return home and the dogs flip a shit always gets me. It’s a shame that pups like Denali don’t get the decades of life they deserve. RIP.
10 years ago at 12:23 pmThis reminds me of my Lab that died during my freshman year of college. Damn I loved that dog. He was my best friend since I was 2.
