Our respective states may be united, but we’re always competing against each other. It doesn’t matter if we’re talking about which state is home to the most golf courses per capita, which has the lowest obesity rate, or how rich our richest resident is, we all want bragging rights, because basically we’re all assholes.
The below map shows each state’s richest resident, along with his or her net worth. If you visit the source of this map at Movoto.com, you’ll find an interactive version of the same map. Lowest: Robert Gillam of Alaska, $700 million
