This Venezuelan Skier Looks Like He’s Never Seen Snow And That’s Because He Hasn’t

Back during the summer Olympics, I tweeted about that fat swimmer from Ethiopia who showed up looking like they plucked some random dude off his couch and threw some goggles on him.

I got roasted for it. People were coming out of the woodwork at me, talking about how “I don’t see your ass at the Olympics” and “At least he’s out there trying while you’re at home tweeting like an asshole.” But he was at the OLYMPICS. The best of the best of the best. I was just saying what we were all thinking. At least shed 20 lbs. and try to look like you’ve been swimming before, damn.

This story is a little different, though.

This Venezuelan cat Adrian Solano had never seen snow before this event. He decided he wanted to be a cross-country skier in a place that didn’t have snow, so he trained on the streets, on wheels instead of skis. He landed a spot in the qualifying round in something called Lahti 2017. It didn’t go well.

It’s not fair to Adrian to say this is the funniest ski video ever, but this is funniest ski video ever.

Adrian did not qualify, it turns out.
