Tim Irvin Switches Commitment To Auburn And It Probably Has Nothing To Do With This Stack Of Cash He’s Holding
Tim Irvin, blue chip high school football prospect from Florida, was committed to play for Charlie Strong and the University of Texas until his visit to Auburn over the weekend. While in Auburn, he switched his commitment to the Tigers and plans to officially enroll in the university this week.
Soon after news spread of his flip to Auburn, Irvin sent out a photo of him holding a stack of cash on his Snapchat story. That photo is below.
If those are all 20s, we’re talking about a few grand here–a lot of money for a high school kid to be holding. Something you need to know about Tim Irvin, however, is that his uncle is Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irvin. The kid’s family has money, which makes his reasoning for holding the cash very convenient, or shit, maybe it’s even the truth.
Tim went to Twitter to explain that the cash was a graduation gift from his family. He later deleted the tweet.

If the cash was given to him as a graduation gift or if he was greased by an Auburn booster, we’ll likely never find out. Either way, you can’t be hitting social media with this. College football recruiting is big business. People are going to tear you apart whether you deserve it or not.
How perfect would it be if Michael Irvin was a part of the “C’mon, man!” series on ESPN? We’ll have to settle on a different Hall of Fame receiver, Chris Carter.
