Top 10 Cities For White People, Per Movoto
When I think of cities that would attract white people, I picture hipsters, hot tea, tucked in shirts, the tech industry, people reading on their lunch breaks, and a myriad of outdoor activities. I also picture a sea of nerds–the generic, default white person who pops into my head is always a dork.
After reading through this list compiled by Movoto, I feel my cities-for-white-people-predisposition has been vindicated.
Without further ado, here are the top 10 cities in the United States for white people:
1. Portland, OR
2. San Francisco, CA
3. St. Paul, MN
4. Jersey City, NJ
5. Irvine, CA
6. Seattle, WA
7. Washington, DC
8. Minneapolis, MN
9. Atlanta, GA
10. Glendale, CA
West coast coming in real strong. Read about the criteria used HERE.

Atlanta? Being a minority must have been a big plus in the criteria.
11 years ago at 10:02 amDC isn’t white either. Not even close.
11 years ago at 11:19 amI mean it is if you’re rich enough.
11 years ago at 2:46 pmThis is the top ten cities for liberal white people. I call BS,
11 years ago at 10:03 amBeing a white person from Atlanta I can assure you that whoever made this list has never been to Atlanta.
11 years ago at 10:06 amThis is true. I feel like we’re a minority…
11 years ago at 10:15 amwe are the minority by alot
11 years ago at 11:42 amYah, but we have Buckhead.
11 years ago at 2:09 pmBuckhead is way less fun when you’re not an 8th grade frat star anymore. even the tavern and moondogs are all high school kids.
11 years ago at 12:02 amYou just gotta be careful of the high school girls. One almost got me in trouble when she said she was 17 and this was at Dive Bar… That’s why I only go to Tin Lizzy’s in Buckhead and sometimes Bucket Shop.
11 years ago at 12:47 amTrue, also cougars.
11 years ago at 5:56 amWas at the bars with couple friends and one hooked up with a highschooler and another hooked up with a 40+ year old lawyer lady. There’s some nice contrast…
The northern burbs are pretty white. A few years ago Alpharetta was like the 4th wealthiest city per capita in the country or something
11 years ago at 4:25 pmAtlanta (to people who live in the actual city and not Cobb, Alpharetta, Dekalb, and all those place) is really only considered being Downtown, Midtown and Buckhead and some people say Sandy Springs is too… But Alpharetta is not part of Atlanta in my opinion. Oh and Chambodia isn’t part of Atlanta, although that do have great happy ending massage parlors.
11 years ago at 12:46 amIsn’t being white and christian illegal in California? If not it is surely frowned upon.
11 years ago at 10:08 amHaha yeah it is. Love the battle flag avatar.
11 years ago at 11:19 amThere’s pockets of suburbs and neighborhoods here and there. But the rest are filled with ignorant hipster trash who sit in coffee shops all day wasting their parents money
11 years ago at 3:48 amHow the fuck is Atlanta number 9… Go to Lenox Mall, Mall of Georgia, Cumberland Mall you will never see a white person. Ever.
11 years ago at 10:14 amWhat about hipster bitches that shop at Lenox?
11 years ago at 2:45 pmFor everyone 1 of those, there’s about 30 black people.
11 years ago at 12:49 amWhich part of Atlanta are they talking about?
11 years ago at 10:25 amPortland having little to no minority’s and being the beer capital of the world. TFM.
11 years ago at 10:34 am1. The word you’re looking for is minorities.
11 years ago at 11:33 am2. The claim that portland is the beer capital of the world is a hilarious and pathetic delusion perpetuated by circle jerking Portland hipsters.

Portland is beer capital of the world, over 40+ craft breweries in the city. We also created Cascade and America hops, which brought about a revolution in craft brewing. You’re welcome.
11 years ago at 11:41 amThat’s wonderful, but most of those craft breweries are microscopic operations (with a handful of exceptions) run by hipsters who are simply cashing in on a trend. Not to mention, beers like bud light, natty, yeungling etc.. move more volume than all portland breweries combined.
Also, Portland has only been involved in the beer scene for about 30 years. I think you’re forgetting that cities like munich, prague, and amsterdam who have been producing and exporting beer to every corner of the world for centuries.
11 years ago at 12:00 pmIn fact, according to the 2012 top 50 list of craft breweries by sales volume, only 3 are in Oregon, none of which are in Portland.

11 years ago at 10:42 amHow Austin isn’t on here is mind blowing. This is the whitest city I’ve ever lived in. I’ve literally gone full days without seeing minorities here.
11 years ago at 10:53 amIt’s also listed as the 4th safest city to raise a family in. I wonder if the two are related?

Glendale has the second largest Armenian population in the world… This list is doesn’t seem to be too accurate.
