Top 10 Frat Houses In The Pac-12
The fraternity house. Thousands of brothers have come and gone through those front doors–and pledges have come and gone through the back doors, like the peasants they are. Different decades have brought new styles and fashions, but the house has always been the same, solid foundation of your fraternity’s history. You can always find joy in knowing that 20 years from now, your house will still be there, with its doors open, just asking for one more night of depravity. Well, unless some asshole decides to burn it down–I’m looking at you, Michigan SAE.
We venture to the West Coast for this edition of the best fraternity houses in the country. I’ll be honest: I expected this conference to be difficult to rank, because I hadn’t really heard anything outstanding about their houses or Greek life. However, the more research I did, I realized a lot of these houses are incredible. Any one of the top five houses could have taken the gold medal, but this isn’t Russia, so there has to be a victor.
Originally, I narrowed my list down to about 20 houses. It was no easy choice cutting any of these houses, so here are the top three honorable mentions that didn’t break into my top 10.
Sigma Nu – Stanford University
Kappa Sigma – University of Arizona
Pi Kappa Phi – University of Colorado
And now, without further ado, here are the 10 best houses the Pac-12 has to offer.
10) Phi Kappa Psi – University of Oregon
9) Kappa Sigma – University of Colorado
8) Delta Tau Delta – UCLA
7) Chi Psi – University of Colorado
6) Phi Gamma Delta – University of Washington
5) Phi Gamma Delta (formerly Sigma Pi) – UC Berkeley
4) Theta Chi – University of Washington
3) Sigma Chi – University of Washington
2) Theta Delta Chi – UC Berkeley
1) Sigma Alpha Epsilon – University of Washington
Overall, I’m very impressed by the houses, especially those on the University of Washington’s campus. I know nothing about the Greek scene in Seattle, which kind of sounds like an oxymoron, but you guys definitely have some great houses. Not happy with the results? Feel like your house should be represented? Defend your fraternity’s honor in the comments. Or bitch and moan about it. I’m sure it will make you feel better.
im surprised Phi kappa theta from wsu isn’t on here. Paul Allen the billionaire cofounder of Microsoft paid for it and made sure it was state of the art.
11 years ago at 12:59 pmExactly. Someone didn’t do much research.

Are you talking about this house? Because that house is as bland as they come. It has absolutely nothing (at least from the exterior) that makes it stand out
11 years ago at 3:02 pmSound proof basement with pre-wired speakers, full parking lot, full court basketball court, bell tower, and an elevator.

Just watch, might change your mind about the interior.
11 years ago at 9:32 pmthanks for the backing up guys. I would say this house is the best in Pullman. Sig nu is good (primarily because its large) same with Theta Chi. I also couldn’t in good faith recommend my house because its really old and almost burned down twice.
11 years ago at 10:20 pmCame here to say this, big ups.
11 years ago at 3:25 pmStanford Snu pad is a quality setup.
11 years ago at 1:17 pmIt looks cool from the outside but is really run-down on the inside. Sigma Chi at Stanford has a much cooler house.
11 years ago at 4:32 pmHuh, must be one of those opposite things then. Stanford Sig Machi isn’t impressive from outside at first glance.
11 years ago at 10:24 pmNo WSU? That’s surprising. Theres a lot of nice houses, one even has an elevator. Oh well, at least our Greek life still trumps uw.
11 years ago at 1:20 pmAll the houses at WSU are just converted apartment complexes… and isn’t your entire greek system dry thanks to the WSU president?
11 years ago at 5:30 pmNope. Do some research.
11 years ago at 9:27 pmthey are far from converted apartment complexes. they are actually really old. KAO is over 100 years old, so is pi beta phi. There are many great houses and some really bad. Like sigma chi barely has a house. Ive seen nicer live outs
11 years ago at 8:29 pmThat’s an impressive Lodge boys.
11 years ago at 2:55 pmColorado and Washington just received an avalanche of applications after this came out
11 years ago at 2:58 pmSurely not because of this article…
11 years ago at 1:07 amPhi Gamma Delta at Oregon State has one of the best houses. Definitely worth googling.
11 years ago at 3:28 pmIt’s clean, but honestly kind of average.
11 years ago at 6:52 pmSpeaking of the Pac Ten, I’m thinking of transferring to ASU because my family is buying property in Scottsdale and Phoenix. What is the Greek Life really like down there? Is there any chance that you guys will get houses again? Because if I transfer I would really want to live in.
11 years ago at 4:06 pmLiberal pussy schools… NF
11 years ago at 4:44 pmAlpha Sigma Phi at University of Washington definitely should have made the list
11 years ago at 4:49 pmLove going to school in Oregon, but shiiitttt we just can’t compete with these Seattle/Colorado frat palaces. That said, UO def has some nicer digs than the Phi Psi house.
