Top 10 Frat Houses In The Pac-12

The fraternity house. Thousands of brothers have come and gone through those front doors–and pledges have come and gone through the back doors, like the peasants they are. Different decades have brought new styles and fashions, but the house has always been the same, solid foundation of your fraternity’s history. You can always find joy in knowing that 20 years from now, your house will still be there, with its doors open, just asking for one more night of depravity. Well, unless some asshole decides to burn it down–I’m looking at you, Michigan SAE.

We venture to the West Coast for this edition of the best fraternity houses in the country. I’ll be honest: I expected this conference to be difficult to rank, because I hadn’t really heard anything outstanding about their houses or Greek life. However, the more research I did, I realized a lot of these houses are incredible. Any one of the top five houses could have taken the gold medal, but this isn’t Russia, so there has to be a victor.

Originally, I narrowed my list down to about 20 houses. It was no easy choice cutting any of these houses, so here are the top three honorable mentions that didn’t break into my top 10.

Sigma Nu – Stanford University

Kappa Sigma – University of Arizona

Overall, I’m very impressed by the houses, especially those on the University of Washington’s campus. I know nothing about the Greek scene in Seattle, which kind of sounds like an oxymoron, but you guys definitely have some great houses. Not happy with the results? Feel like your house should be represented? Defend your fraternity’s honor in the comments. Or bitch and moan about it. I’m sure it will make you feel better.

Since Arizona has a big Greek Life, but the houses aren’t too insane I’ll post the pictures of the coolest Arizona Houses.

Fiji( Large Basement, very nice house with a second story you can’t see) http://s3.amazonaws.com/os_extranet_images/196730_original.jpg
Kappa Sigma (recently moved back, huge house, not super nice but a great place for outdoor parties) http://s3.amazonaws.com/os_extranet_images/198127_original.jpg
Beta Theta Pi (fairly large house, has a giant yard on the side and is the only classic Greek House at UA) http://wjrapp.files.wordpress.com/2011/03/10621_143924107543_668027543_2685654_805111_n.jpg
Sigma Chi (still under construction but should be cool once it’s done) http://www.pdc.arizona.edu/Projects/Images/12-9157/12-9157.jpg
SAE (Not a good picture, house is run down but insane for tailgates) https://fbcdn-sphotos-a-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/t1/60444_540262009329503_987566164_n.png

wow. These are awesome. I drove around UCLA when I was over there for the Rose Bowl and it was really cool to see how different the houses were.

I am very surprised Alpha Delta Phi and Alpha Sigma Phi from UW were not on this list. I think they have extremely nice houses.
