Top 10 Tailgating Destinations

10. Notre Dame

Yes, I know Notre Dame has been a shitty program for years, and South Bend is nothing to get excited about. Even the weather sucks. So, why would anyone want to tailgate for a shitty program in a shitty town, right? Wrong. The place is special. It’s just fucking special. Any college football enthusiast owes himself a man trip to Notre Dame on gameday. Keep in mind, however, this trip is much more about tradition and history than it is about good eating, good looking women, keg stands and drunken conversation. Get there early, walk the campus, visit Touchdown Jesus and talk to the thousands of die-hard loyal fans who show up every Saturday no matter how poorly the Fighting Irish are playing.

How can you not include the Florida-Georgia tailgate, widely known as the best tailgate in the country? This list is more GDI than community college

I know this is absolutely not relevant to the huge D1 schools listed, however Texas A&I in South Texas (D2) rages fucking hard. The tailgate area is a huge field next to the stadium, in which no city cops are allowed. Only university police are permitted, and they don’t give a shit. Liquor luges, beer pong, beer bongs, and public belligerence are all things that are actually encouraged. They always have live Texas Country music for the tailgates, and people kick off their shoes and dance. The school is located in Kingsville, which might be a shitty place, but on gameday we get after it. If you’re ever down in the area, come check it out.

^^ Heard that, but it’s Texas A&M Kingsville now right? Have a few buddies down there and invited me to a tailgate before we went fishing the next day. It was pretty damn good. Sure the scenery is shitty but as far as raging goes, ya’ll do really well. I also know that the greek life down there is undergoing huge changes. Heard DZ KKG DTD and KA were going to get established there. Frat on.

Thanks bud, I’m actually an alumni, but I thought A&I would be more recognizable. KA is getting started there for sure, and DTD was there in the 80’s before they got kicked off for raging too hard. I wouldn’t doubt that they’re starting up again. I have no idea about the sororities, but that sounds pretty damn good. Glad to know someone has heard of good ole A&I.

I’d def rather not be on this list and have everyone say how UGA should have been on here than be on the list and have people trying to discredit my tailgating skills.
We know we’ve got tailgating down. We don’t need a list to tell us how great tailgating at UGA is.

Although I will probably get a lot of grief for this, Yale has one of the most elite tailgating traditions in the nation. I have seen butlers performing white glove service and sterling silver platters of gourmet, catered food with wine and cheese pairings. I have also witnessed impressive blackouts and world class debauchery in the lots around the stadium. Our team may not be the best (or even good) but we can host a very impressive party on Saturdays.

all i have to say is that Tennessee should not be on this list. i am from Tennessee and they don’t do anything. All they are is a bunch of criminals.

Then maybe you shouldn’t tailgate in the fort with the other poors and come to the Row, Fiji Island, Circle Park, or with the Navy down at the marina instead of criticizing the school in general.
