U of M Pledges Cuffed And Stuffed After Trying To Break Into The Big House
Fraternity pledges at the University of Michigan are doing everything they possibly can to make a late run at the “Worst University-Wide Pledge Class Ever” award. Just last week, we learned that twelve Fiji pledges were busted by the local PD for Griswolding a 13-foot Christmas tree from a nearby campus parking lot. Fiji pledges aren’t the only ones to find themselves on the wrong side of headlines in the last week, however.
During the early hours of Friday morning, fifteen pledges from an unnamed (but soon to be named in the comments below) U of Michigan fraternity were caught trying to break into Michigan’s Big House, probably scaling the stadium walls military-style.
From M Live:
Fifteen University of Michigan students were arrested for unlawful entry after breaking into Michigan Stadium early Friday morning, police said.
U-M police were called to Gate 8 of the Big House, located 1201 S. Main St., at 3:32 a.m. after receiving reports that people were seen climbing inside the stadium, according to the university’s crime log.
All 15 students were male and the stunt was part of a fraternity pledging activity, police said.
According to the report, the pledges were likely to get off with only a warning had they cooperated with police, but in true pledge form, they fucked it all up and chose not to cooperate. They were all “arrested for unlawful entry, processed and released pending warrant authorization, according to police.”

Worst pledge class EVER
12 years ago at 2:19 pmThey were probably arrested for hopefully not dishing out the fraternity they were pledging for, in which case, good move. Doesn’t cover up the fact that they got caught though.
12 years ago at 2:24 pmGreat name
12 years ago at 10:14 pmHow do all 15 of them get arrested? Do they not know how to run in different directions? Dumbest pledge class ever
12 years ago at 4:13 pmI don’t know how you were hazed.. but I would never leave a pledge brother behind. Never
12 years ago at 11:10 pmYeah, that’s nice to say and all, but the simple matter is that all of them getting caught and all of them being pledges means it was hazing and a pledge activity, undeniably. While if only a few of them got caught, they could just say it was them messing around and nothing to do with the fraternity.
Now, they’re most likely going to lose their charter and at the very least, face very serious consequences.
12 years ago at 4:09 pmIt was delta chi’s pledges. This is like the fifteenth time they’ve tried… amateurs.
