UCF Gym Takes A Stand Against Greeks, Bans “String” Tank Tops And Aggressive Cut Off Tees
Huge news out of my alma mater, and no, I’m not referring to O’Leary being named interim Athletic Director (God, help us). A significant portion of Greek Row is visibly shaken after the UCF Recreation and Wellness Center made a controversial call and officially banned string tank tops and cut off tees they deem inappropriate from its premises.
From Knight News:
According to the UCF RWC website, “Shirts must be worn at all times. Shirts or tops must fully cover the back, front and sides of the torso. Shirts that are manufactured or altered to expose abdominal area or ribcage are not considered appropriate.”
No longer can you take scissors to your already aggressive, pun-laden frat tank, cut it to be noodle thin, show the full on man nip and rib combo, and expect to be let in the doors to get your pump on. No word on the motivation behind the change to policy, but anyone with a brain knows this was clearly driven by those with an anti-Greek agenda.
97 percent of all UCF Greeks’ wardrobes consist of nothing but cut off rush shirt or tank tops that have been altered to show a tastefully inappropriate amount of skin. Now, in the midst of the dog days of the brutal Florida summer heat, they implement this new, dare I say, Nazi-esque regulation. Without question, it is a direct attack towards fraternities and sororities campus-wide. You might as well straight up say it, UCF gym. You’re banning Greeks altogether.
Asking a UCF Greek to not wear an obnoxious cut off to the gym is like asking the wind not to blow, or the sun not to shine. A tiger just can’t change its stripes..
