UCF Sigma Nu Suspended After “Let’s Rape Some Bitches” Video Leaks

Sigma Nu at the University of Central Florida has been put on emergency suspension after school officials obtained a video of a member repeatedly dropping hard r-bombs after returning home from a night out drinking back in June. According to UCF records, the video allegedly shows a member of Sigma Nu screaming “Let’s rape some bitches [expletive redacted], rape some sluts.”

Here’s the actual footage:

For our own interest, it’s probably best if we just cut the word “rape” out of our every day lexicon.

Saying the word “rape” in a fraternity house is a lot like uttering “bomb” in an airport. You’re just playing with matches atop of a mountain of gasoline-doused tinder. But to actually go all in like this kid, who is apparently the Hodor of sodomy, is just like rolling into the TSA checkpoint and asking security to hold your explosives as you take off your shoes. Especially, if like Sigma Nu at UCF, you had a fraternity member found “in violation” of sexual misconduct less than a year ago. Be better, guys.

Sigma Nu will have a hearing starting August 20.

There is no excuse for this whatsoever. But with that said, with an enrollment of over 60,000 at UCF, there is bound to be bad apples in all Greek organizations. But if this was just a few individuals, ban those individuals. I don’t see, football teams getting banned if their players commit crimes or give the school bad name, the individual, not the whole is punished. Why is there a double standard with Greek organizations. If this was an entire fraternity chanting this, then ban them, suspend them, do what you have to do, but if it was a few individuals punish them.

Do Greek organizations make enough money for schools for us to be able to threaten them though? Schools won’t get rid of a football team that makes money for campus, so they suspend individuals.

There is an African American heritage club at LSU, and one of the members was charged with sexual assault. I didn’t see a backlash on the organization he associated with. Does the African American heritage group make enough money for the university? No. It’s a crusade by liberals to rid universities of fraternities because they represent policies and ideas liberal run colleges dont believe in

I’m tired of the comparison between fraternities and sports teams. sports teams are there to do something important, they’re not in the same category, stop.

If your school’s sports teams are doing more important things than your fraternity, then I hope your chapter shuts down tomorrow. Sports exist to play games and rake in school money. Why does your fraternity exist?

While I more/less agree with you, the entire point of a fraternity is Brotherhood. We are all in for all brothers. And a natural consequence of that is that, when one brother commits a misdeed, many brothers are punished. At some point chapters must start proactively weeding out the stupid individuals. Someone within the chapter has to let people know that this cannot be tolerated.

Here’s the school board’s plan to combat Greek life:
1:Slowly rid every Greek organization of a respectable pledging process.
2:Wait for the house to overlook a few bad apples because of new “progressive” pledging process(or lack thereof).
3.Wait until bad apples say some dumb shit like “Let’s rape some bitches!”
        4.Suspend chapter
        5. Pat yourself on the back while one by one each chapter dies from the inside out.

Kids not taking TFM articles and references in a satirical way is the problem of some sort too. Just take a look at your fraternity’s last pledge class and you’ll see what I’m taking about.

I feel like it can’t be that hard for “us” to drop the word rape. Hopefully I’m right cause if I’m wrong the media will continue to crucify Greek life.

You shouldn’t yell rape…mkay, that’s bad. You’re a bad person if you yell rape.

Classic fraternity atmosphere. You don’t see those type of scenarios happening at board game night in the residence halls. #FratsProduceEvil

As much as this guy sucks, hashtags have proven to have great success on this site.
