UNC Basketball Player Marcus Paige Reveals School’s Shockingly Lax Academic Standards For Athletes

Marcus-Paige

It’s always been known that major schools such as the University of North Carolina don’t hold their “student”-athletes to the highest of academic standards. You wander the halls of Division I academia and you’re sure to hear something along the lines of, “Don’t worry about tomorrow’s test Johnny, I’ll just give you the points and you concentrate on football. What’s that? No, no Abraham Lincoln was not a vampire hunter, but good try! A-plus for curiosity!” Or, “No Terrance, I’m not mad that you accidentally dropped that cadaver’s heart out of the window and onto the sidewalk, just do me a favor and don’t drop any passes this Saturday YA FEEL ME!”

But you know what? Who cares? College football and basketball players are prepared more for their future professions on the field and court than in the classroom anyway. Still, this latest revelation from University of North Carolina point guard Marcus Paige is shocking. SHOCKING I TELL YOU. Why even go to class at all if this is the standard you’re held to at UNC?

So this is now how I picture North Carolina final exams.

In reality Marcus Paige was joking. A Duke fan was teasing him about the supposedly lax academic standards at UNC and Paige played along, trolling him right back. Seems like a cool guy, that Marcus Paige. Now I kind of hope he does write a paper on “Go, Dog Go.”
