You are, to say the least, a fucking idiot. Who gives a damn if Perry is a geed? I certainly don’t. The man is a candidate for president (and a damn fine one at that) and also served our country as an officer in the Air Force. Even if he doesn’t win the presidential election, or even fails to become the Republican Party’s nominee, I’m willing to bet his accomplishments would dwarf your own.

Rick Perry is a religious, right-wing conservative who’s a former Air Force pilot and the governor of Texas. What else do you need?

Perry is a fucking idiot (even dumber than Bachmann). Just because someone is conservative doesn’t mean they should be president.

Romney, Huntsman, Paul, Santorum, and Gingrich are all infinitely more qualified to be President than Perry. If he gets the nomination, we are doomed to another 4 years of Obama.

^You are really dumb. All I have to say is we have the best economy in the country and the lowest unemployment thank you Rick Perry.

      1) Texas used billions of dollars in federal stimulus money to balance their budget, even though Perry claimed to be against the stimulus bill in public. (handouts – NF).

      2) Nearly all of the jobs “created” in Texas during the recession were the result of: the state’s population growth rate (which is twice as high as the national average), massive immigration from Mexico (to shitty minimum-wage jobs), and a huge growth in government jobs. Texas’ economy actually sucks when you look at the deeper numbers.

      3) Texas (8.2%) does not have the lowest unemployment rate in the country. In fact, it’s not even fucking close. Alaska, Arkansas, Delaware, Hawaii, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Utah, Virginia, Vermont, Wisconsin, and Wyoming all have lower unemployment rates than Texas.

Thank you carolinahaze, THANK YOU. Rick Perry did nothing but fuck up the great state that is Texas.

Carolinahaze, no he did not use stimulus money to balance the budget. Get your information from somewhere other than MSNBC. And how does growth in population result in growth of jobs? People are coming here because there are jobs. And as far as structural unemployment is concerned, Texas is among the lowest. There are several types of unemployment. The reason Texas is doing well is because we have created a business friendly environment unlike Michigan and other unionized states.

It all depends on who wins the nomination and who they pull as a running mate. It could definitely swing the vote of someone on the fence about the nominee. Personally I think Romney and Huckabee would be the best candidates to take down Obama.

it would be simply foolish to not accept the benefits that the stimulus plan had to offer. admittedly, people discouraged it from the beginning, especially republicans. but just because the dumbasses passed the stimulus package, doesn’t mean that all people, including republicans, shouldn’t take advantage of whatever benefits to promote their own agenda. dumb argument

Lone fratStar, your argument is opaque and weak. Either the stimulus package was a good idea and Perry using it made sense, or it was a bad idea and Perry shouldn’t have had any part of it. Claiming that the stimulus package was a bad idea while simultaneously using it to advance your own agenda and benefit your state is blatant hypocrisy.

yes he did get stimulus money to do some balancing. And again while I am at it Carolinahaze knows his shit from what I have read on here. So what he was an officer. I served in the Marine Corps as 0311 but the moral of the story is he is gonna need support. So yeah AGR is like a social book club.

I’ve said it before, and Ill say it again. Rick Perry is not the man to beat Obama. Giving Obama the chance to run against the 2nd coming of George W. Bush, not going to help the GOP win back the White House. The only two current candidates that will have a chance are Mitt Romney and John Huntsman. Mitt does have baggage, and it would be a toss-up if he ran against Obama. Huntsman, while I doubt he could win the nomination would be the man to beat Obama. Why do you think Obama sent him to China as ambassador, it was because in 08 after the election, Team Obama immediately recognized him as a threat. If Perry, Bachmann or any of the other wackos wins the nomination, Obama wins in a landslide once again.

Wrong. Mitt has huge amounts of baggage. Huntsman is a prop of the left. The White House said he was the man they feared the most, so obviously he is not. Obama’s campaign is a fucking machine (there’s no point denying it, he’s a phenomenal campaigner); they aren’t dumb enough to tell their true fear. The left is terrified of Bachmann just like they were terrified of Palin, so they attack her in the same way because they don’t understand her or why people like her. Palin is a huge part of the reason McCain had even a decent showing in 08. Bachmann is their true fear because she connects with Americans just like the Tea Party did in the last election. Remember how that one turned out?

As somebody who lives in a swing state of all swing states (NH), I know from experience that you are wrong. In 2008, McCain should have won NH, but lost because moderates who ditched him after palin. If he had picked somebody like Mitt, Ridge or even Liberman, I think he would be president today. I know people who voted for McCain in the Primary, then voted for Obama, because of Palin. And no, the left doesn’t not fear Bachmann, in fact many are hoping that she wins the Primary.

Romney is a fucking neocon that would continue to fuck up the country like Obama is doing. He is a big government douche.

People outside of Texas need to realize something- Rick Perry is not George Bush. He is not even similar to George Bush. Politically they are both quite different and personally dislike each other.

    Also, vote Ron Paul.

    1. Mr Brojangles

Correct…..W just used his “good ol’ boy charm” as a political tactic. Anyone that thinks W was dumb is an idiot…he knew exactly what he was doing. The problem with Perry is he’s actually dumb.

Ron Paul and Huntsman are the only ones worth a damn ….and that’s exactly why they won’t win.

You are correct. And those of us from Texas don’t believe he is W. Don’t put words in our mouth.

i could ask for more. Like 4 more of G.W, Bush. I could also ask him to be part of something bigger than himself like a real fraternity. He is a geed I am sure to vote for him but hey who else is going to run this bitch? surely yuo dont want obama.

As soon as the GOP aligns, I believe we will have a campaign that can beat Obama. Ron Paul needs to be in the White House regardless if he’s President or VP.
