University Of Alabama Administrators Are Monsters, Banning "Dixieland Delight" From Games

This is it. I’m thoroughly convinced America has become soft. On Wednesday, Dec. 3, school administrators decided to ban playing “Dixieland Delight” inside Bryant-Denny Stadium. RIP. For those unfamiliar with the song, it’s a country anthem written by Ronnie Rogers and sung by Alabama. For many years, this song was a beloved tradition at Bryant-Denny. When it came on, fans sung along and even added their own twist by chanting, “fuck you, [insert opponent here].” I’m sure it was a cool thing to experience, and frankly, I have no problem with it.

Unfortunately, some people complained about the vulgarity of the chant. This led to school officials banning the song from playing inside the stadium.

Aaron Rodgers said it best: people just need to “R-E-L-A-X.” It’s just a chant. Will this stop Alabama fans from singing it themselves at games? Probably not.

Texas Tech had a similar situation a few years back when its fans were told not to sing, “we will fucking kick their ass” instead of the real lyrics to the school’s fight song. Of course, Tech fans still proudly shout out their chant during games. Keep fighting the good fight, ‘Bama. In honor of this death, pour one out and take in the last “Dixieland Delight” from Saturday’s Iron Bowl:

Those fucking geeds ruining it make me more angry than the song being banned in the first place.
