The protesters believe that unlimited campaign contributions to political candidates by corporations marginalizes democracy. They also want to see higher taxes on the top 1% of income earners in America.

Now as an objectivist I really don’t care for democracy in the first place. With or without unlimited campaign contributions democracy still subjects inalienable human rights to majority vote, which is unethical. As for their second demand, I absolutely disagree.

However, If you are willing to restrict a human beings basic right to protest and to free speech, I can understand why you would want to ban me for disagreeing with you.

Fuck cops, most of them are geed drop outs who hate fraternities in my town. Or they were bottom tier. Benefit of the doubt, they fuck everybody in the city over equally.

I take it you think the same of our military? side note: Majority of PD’s actually require a degree too now a days

Side Note Response: A Criminal Justice degree is a perfect example of how degrees are over-fetishized. Much like a hospitality management degree, these professions are learned on the job, not in a sterile classroom enviroment. Also, YAF is partially correct, for police work in the U.S. has a disturbingly entreprenurial nature, in which police choose to enforce those provisions and ordinances that will generate revenue for the town, county, city or state and aid the peace officer himself on fitness reports.

And most police use the force as a stepping stone to become federal agents and do stuff more badass than you will ever think about doing. Keep slandering those who protect and serve on this site, we all know you’re too big of a bitch to say it to their faces.

^No shit I won’t say it to their faces. That’s just stupid. And military is different. Honestly cops do good but they are really a necessary evil who fuck a lot of people over. I’m lucky I haven’t been hit big by them.

For everyone who is claiming “police brutality” first off, you’re an idiot to put it simply. Police are authorized to use one level of force higher than that of the assailant/protester/whoever. Physical presence, verbal commands, non lethal munitions, lethal munitions are pretty much the order of these steps that officers are allowed to use. It is also based on the threat the officers perceive at the time of what is going on. Anyone can be a Monday morning quarterback, but you were not there at the time of the incident and do not know the threat that the police felt. Also, to everyone who is calling it “pepper spray” you’re wrong. Police (as well as military police/MSG’s/security forces) carry OC spray, which is more concentrated than pepper spray, and burns like hell but leaves no long term side effects. To be qualified to carry OC, the officer must be sprayed in training and knows damn well how bad that stuff burns. I have an OC level 1 certification, which is direct spray to the eyes and I will never wish that pain upon anyone in my life unless I feel an imminent danger that I feel can not be directly and decisively handled in a timely manner. I guarantee you that those who were sprayed in the protests will think twice the next time a police officer pulls out their can of OC and starts shaking it up.
