Some say you can tell a lot about a man by the size of the knot in his tie. Needless to say, I've never tied a single windsor. TFM.

While the four in hand is a great simple knot, I feel like I see a lot of geeds wearing it, probably because it is so simple. That’s why I usually go with either a half or full windsor,

Depends on the situation. Formal events, full windsor. Just dicking around at a social gathering that requires coat and tie, four in hand. If it’s hot and humid, fuck the tie altogether.

The problem with the four in hand is that it’s not symmetrical. Solid half windsor is the way to go if your collar permits.

There is no single windsor, there’s a full windsor and a half windsor. Also if you tie the same knot without regard to the fabric, collar, and event, you’re an idiot.

Guys, what he means is if he needs his tie tied for is oral com class, he just runs upstairs and dad ties it for him.

If you wear a full windsor with anything other than a wide spread or cutaway collar you are a posturing idiot. Buy yourself a decent tie and wear a four in hand like a man.

Can’t call me a Geed unless you know what the hell you’re talking about. Full windsor with a narrow collar looks ridiculous regardless of how nicely your tie dimples.

You don’t even have a real Greek system at Princeton. And your student body is way too ethnic.

You see Brian Fantana, most don’t have the security to go bow tie. Not their fault.

Agreed, not many people know it and it gives you the best of both worlds.
