The lady behind the bar at the halfway house always has a Maker's Mark on ice waiting for me at the turn. After the round is over she always has a sandwich and a cigar waiting for me in the men's grill. TFM.

      at which club might this be? I belong to 2, and woman work in the men’s grill of both clubs.

      i’m not sure how that constitues as new money.

      frankly fratty is correct, women are not allowed in the Men’s Bar, whether they are servers or not. At least that’s how its been at my club since the beginning of the 20th century.

      What are you, a DI? If you were from Kentucky you would know Woodford is overpriced and bitter. Drink something that is actually good, like Four Roses or Bulliet.

      I agree with Seersucker. Had some Woodford at the distillery – IMO, Jim Beam Black is just as good and cheaper.

      If you want really good stuff, get a bottle of Pappy Van Winkle (from Buffalo Trace). Only downside is that you’ll know how bad ‘normal’ bourbons taste in comparison.

      Woodford Reserve is some of the worst bourbon our state produces, especially for the price. Don’t tell us what bourbon to drink, if anything you should take advice from us.
