      fir the most part, clubs fall under the non-profit category, meaning that they are tax-exempt.

      this is why most country clubs are also tax exempt, thich is also FaF.

      The organization itself is/should be registered as a 501c7 organization, which means that it is tax-exempt. And yes, it is the same idea as a country club or other social organization. key difference between a frat and a charity is that donations to a frat are not tax deductible for the donors.
