      Reagan was a New Money president. Brooks Bros. used to be an Old Money clothing line, which is likely why he did not wear it.

      If you know Reagan’s personal story, this in no way diminishes his presidential legacy.

      Thus, the only explanation for Obama and Clinton wearing Brooks Bros. would be that Brooks Bros. has become more widely worn since the 1980s, because neither of them are Old Money.
