Offended Students Get University Of Michigan To Cancel Showing Of “American Sniper,” School Showing It Anyway

Pussification Of America Continues, University Of Michigan Cancels Showing Of "American Sniper" Because It Offends People

The University of Michigan wanted to treat their students with a nice movie night. The movie they planned to show? Only one of the greatest films to come out in 2014, “American Sniper.” A fine choice if you ask me. It shows what it takes to be courageous, selfless, and brave.

However, not every student shares that same sentiment. A group of students in a club called “MENA” (Muslim, Middle Eastern and North African students) got all up in arms over the movie because they were offended and penned a letter to the Center for Campus Involvement addressing their concerns. Michigan relented and pulled the screening.

From FOX News:

The abrupt change came after several hundred students and their supporters filed a protest – attacking both the film and Chris Kyle.

“Watching this movie is provocative and unsafe to MENA and Muslim students who are too often reminded of how little the media and world value their lives,” the students wrote in their letter.

The Center for Campus Involvement (CCI) took one look at the letter, freaked out and immediately pulled the plug on the highest grossing film of 2014.

COME ON. Watching a movie is now unsafe?! What kind of excuse is that? People these days are too soft. Grow a damn backbone. Don’t like the movie? Guess what? No one is forcing you to watch it. That doesn’t mean you have to deprive the rest of us who want to see it because you think it’s offensive and unsafe to you.

Thankfully, we have guys like Jim Harbaugh out there. The new head coach isn’t going to let these kids keep his team from seeing the film.

**UPDATE**

Maybe Jim Harbaugh has a little more pull than first imagined. The school will show the film.

From College Fix:

In the wake of national uproar over the decision by the University of Michigan to cancel a screening of “American Sniper,” campus leaders late Wednesday completely reversed that call, announcing the film will be shown at its originally scheduled time and location.

Good decision.

Also, this UM student group “MENA” went as far as calling Chris Kyle a “racist” who “murdered Iraqi civilians”.

I sincerely hope that if you are a student at the University of Michigan, you go out of your way to petition to have this film shown. Also, I hope the members of MENA trip and impale themselves on an American Flag. Fuck them.

      No doubt.

Well, MENA, if it wasn’t for people of your “ancestory” we would never had to have known who Chris Kyle was. Sit back and enjoy the flick.

This is why I don’t consider this website a news outlet. This is already an old story

Of course it isn’t a “news site.” It’s a glorified blog with a minimum of content and a maximum of advertising. You need to get out more.

Harbaugh defied Michigan and had the football team watch it. Said “if it offends somebody, so be it.” Thank God for Harbaugh.
